Expertise

Marta focuses her practice on the intersection of intellectual property and dispute resolution.

She has been developing strong expertise in the intricacies of intellectual property law with an international dimension, particularly through her familiarity with EUIPO and WIPO procedures. Her practice encompasses legal assistance in matters related to technology, media, and consumer protection, as well as handling a variety of civil and regulatory issues. Marta has also worked closely with emerging artists and creators in the music industry, assisting them in protecting and managing their creative works.

Additionally, her professional background encompasses a strong human rights component. Marta has assisted clients in several defamation cases, with a particular focus on strategic lawsuits against public participation (SLAPPs). Her interest in the protection of human rights has materialized through her involvement in a voluntary research clinic in the field of business and human rights, conducted in collaboration with L’Oréal Paris, where she worked closely with businesses, researchers, and human rights lawyers on the implementation of European regulations related to corporate due diligence and reporting obligations.

Marta has a strong understanding of international legal frameworks and a structured comparative perspective of legal systems, including those of France, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and the European Union, thanks to her academic studies at the Sciences Po Paris. Additionally, she became accustomed to international commercial arbitration by attending courses taught by renowned practitioners in the field.

She represented the University of Bucharest at the prestigious Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot held in Hong Kong and Vienna.
