It gives us a distinct pleasure to share that BACIU PARTNERS together with ELSA Bucharest are organizing the 4th edition of the Moot Court Competition on Intellectual Property Law.
The project is dedicated to students in the 3rd and 4th years at law faculties in Bucharest.
Participating in this program will give our future generation of practitioners an opportunity to explore the exciting and complex field of intellectual property together with BACIU PARTNERS’ highly regarded team.
The calendar of the 2026 edition includes the following key dates:
- Registration deadline: 28 February (using the form available HERE)
- Training session for the students interested in taking part in the competition: 5 March
- Deadline for the submission of the Memorandum (written phase): 15 March
- Oral pleadings in a moot hearing for the selected teams (oral round): 28 March (semifinals) and 29 March (final).
Law students may register in teams of 2.
Winner of the CEE Intellectual Property Firm of the Year Award during the Legal 500 CEE Awards Gala, BACIU PARTNERS is acclaimed as the “gold stars of Romanian IP“.
- To take advantage of our expertise, we propose that the students who register for the competition attend a dedicated training session specially designed to provide them with key elements that would enable a structured approach to their participation in the project.
- The structuring of the project, including the training, includes the contribution of colleagues who have been involved in some of the most reputable Moot Court Competitions, globally, including Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
Prizes for the 4th edition of the Moot Court Competition in Intellectual Property Law are:
- Winner: 2500 lei
- Runner up: 2000 lei
- 3rd place: 1500 lei
- Best Speaker: 500 lei
- Best Memorandum: 500 lei
