On May 12, 2025, BACIU PARTNERS joined the Romanian IP community in celebrating World Intellectual Property Day, an event organized by the Working Group on Intellectual Property (GLDPI), with the support of InfoCons, ORDA (Romanian Copyright Office), and with the contribution of various partners.
This year’s celebration, held under the international patronage of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), brought together state officials, business professionals, relevant institutions, and thought leaders around the 2025 theme: “Be Original! Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy!”
The event unfolded in two parts: a series of keynote addresses on the importance of authenticity and enforcement in the IP ecosystem, followed by a dedicated segment titled “IP and Music: Feel the Beat of IP”, which highlighted the intricate relationship between creativity, rights, and innovation in the music industry, reflecting on the theme promoted by WIPO on the occasion of the 2025 World Intellectual Property Day.
BACIU PARTNERS is honored to have contributed as a partner to this event and consistently support initiatives promoting intellectual property awareness, education, and enforcement.

Earlier this spring, we proudly marked World Intellectual Property Day through activities around the Intellectual Property Law Moot Court Competition, an academic initiative aimed at nurturing the next generation of IP professionals. Through such endeavors, we remain deeply committed to strengthening the IP community in Romania and amplifying the message that knowledge, creativity, and originality must be protected and celebrated.
