Summer ELSA Law School on Mergers & Acquisitions | Bucharest, 16 July 2026
BACIU PARTNERS is pleased to join the 2026 edition of the Summer ELSA Law School on Mergers & Acquisitions, an educational programe designed to offer law students practical insights into the legal and business considerations that shape mergers and acquisitions transactions.
As part of the programe, Adela Nuță, Cristina Stoica and Bianca Tudose will lead a session entitled “Where Deals Are Won or Lost: Legal Strategies in Early M&A”. The workshop with take place during the third day of the program, on 16 July 2026.
Using M&A transactions as a practical framework, the session will explore how legal risks arising from different practice areas can influence strategic business decisions long before negotiations begin. The discussion will focus on the importance of looking beyond a strict corporate perspective and understanding how factors related to employment law, data protection, intellectual property and disputes may affect transaction dynamics, negotiating leverage and, ultimately, the viability of a deal.
Participants will also have the opportunity to examine the increasingly multidisciplinary nature of legal practice and the role lawyers play in bringing together legal, commercial and operational perspectives when assessing risk and supporting decision-making processes.
